The Cars - The Cars

First of all, I have to say that the cover to this album kind of disturbs me. There are, perhaps, several reasons for this, but I am pretty sure that it is mostly about this woman's giant lip-gloss covered mouth. Seriously. Just spend a second staring at her mouth. Scary, huh?

I've been spending a lot of time hanging out at our local karaoke bar lately (I know this is going to sound bad but karaoke on a Monday at 4 o'clock is really kind of fantastic). Because of this, I have developed a habit of classifying all music according to whether or not I think it is a good karaoke song. The Cars are all about the good karaoke song. The next time we are at The Mint, I am totally singing "My Best Friend's Girl".

Favorite tracks: "Good Times Roll", "My Best Friend's Girl", "Just What I Needed"
Favorite Lyric: "I guess you're just what i needed. I needed someone to feed."

This album is the soundtrack to the only my-parents-are-out-of-town party I ever threw as a teenager, because there's no escaping The Cars in the Boston area.
