There are some artists that, no matter how much critical acclaim they achieve, no matter how much everyone else likes them, I just have no use for because I really hated one of their early singles. Prime examples include Coldplay/"Yellow", Radiohead/"Creep" and Beck/"Loser". I guess you could say that in my mind any Beck album was pretty sure to be filled with various remixes of "Loser" and, so, I never bothered to give any Beck albums a listen. I did not really have high hopes for Guero, so I was hugely surprised that not only was it not filled with remixes of "Loser", it was also ridiculously good.
Favorite tracks: "Black Tambourine", "E-Pro"
Favorite lyric: "Shoot your mouth off but look here you're aiming" (excellent advice, I'd say)

This one is a staple in my car and hasn't been taken out of my console since it was released. But Beck's always been on my short list.
